I believe in the power of great literature and great writing—and I’ve seen how the right stories (and the right encouragement) can turn a reluctant writer into a confident one. I’m especially inspired by Charlotte Mason’s literature-rich approach.
I’ve been homeschooling my five children since 2017, and I began teaching literature-based English Language Arts classes for other homeschoolers in 2024. One of the things I love most about homeschooling is its flexibility: the freedom to slow down and focus where a student needs support, and the ability to supplement with classes that bring community, accountability, and fresh ideas.
When we’re not homeschooling, you can find me dividing my time between driving my kids to swim practice, making yet another trip to Costco, and maybe trying to fit in some books of my own. My TBR is always growing, despite the fact that I almost never step out of my house without my Kindle.
